I recently started attending Axia college via University of Phoenix to start my degree process. They told me that I would be 100 percent covered by financial aid. They told me I was approved and they started me in my classes. Turns out I was never approved and they want me to file under my parents income. Their income does not allow me to get assistance for school and they will not help either. UOP is not understanding, have not returned my calls, and cannot even spell my first name right even though they have it in thier sytem. Now they are sending me a bill for classes I took when I thought FAFSA covered them. They waited until I owed more than 2,000 before telling me that I was not covered by FAFSA. HELP.

FAFSA Problems

Hello Bryan,
I started UOP on August 21st of this year, and to this date, my financial aid is messed up. I am getting bills in the mail for at least $1665.00 for the first two classes that I have taken when financial aid was suppose to pay for it.
I have contacted my financial advisor two days ago and she still hasn't responded. I don't know what is going on, but I know one thing. If someone doesn't get back to me fast, I'm leaving this school. I do not work. I'm a stay-at-home mom. How am I suppose to pay for these classes? Other than my financial aid, I haven't had a problem with them.
My teachers are great and so are my classmates. I like the school, but their financial department is in need of some serious help. They do not know what they are doing.
