This company is an Adult Entertainment chat line. They go by several different names but the key players are David Paye(who is attached to several fraud cases),Traci and the convicted Paige(who does payroll, convicted of using employee bank information to obtain monies..in other words fraud)

Within a week of being hired I received an email from someone in payroll warning me of David and a person named Paige who had access to my bank info for direct deposit purposes. I inquired about this odd email and sent a copy to Traci who works as a "mentor". Traci told me it was from a disgruntled PSO they recently fired and they had no one by the name of Paige working in payroll.

I received a call from a minor and instructed him to hang up immediately and reported this to Traci...to my shock she yelled at me and said I was never to hang up on a minor again and I was to "talk" PG13 and keep him on as long as possible. This act alone is against the law. They say that you get bonus for average hold time over 7...lol..I never once saw a bonus check but was told by the company where the calls come from thatI was a top producer and had made bonus often.

My paychecks were never correct and they lead you to believe that David does payroll...remember the girl Paige..convicted of fraud and worked in Payroll, who they knew nothing of? My check was again missing an entire week and the new girl on call said I needed to call Paige in payroll...Paige actually called my home from her personal cel #. Please be aware that at least 2 of these people have faced or are facing fraud and laundering. I have contacted child protection services in regards to this company allowing known children to remain on the adult chat line and I have secured an attorney to investigate my hours and stats. As an Independant Contractor I am entitled to this information but have had no success in getting anything from David Paye nor Traci. These people are nothing but trouble and scammers and liars and care nothing about federal laws and regulations...sadly if you are the one verbally speaking to a child...you will be the one in deep trouble

Please hear me when I tell you not to get involved with this company or it's affiliates...you will certainly pay dearly as I did. There are reputable Adult Entertainment companies out there...you have to do your research. Again..mark these guys off your list.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Bad company

AUTHOR: BellaDior - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, March 20, 2016

When they started off as phone stars and IAS they were really good company to work for.  The move to phone actress really ruined everything .  Not only wear your regular scrambled between the other platforms a lot of the managers quit and the pay rate went down.  Karen who is one of the managers is a total b**** with the worst attitude ever since the new platform started.  They scrambled all the cost together and get mad at you when you're constantly being hung up on.  Then Karen cause you screaming in your ear because people hang up on you as soon as you say hello.

I never had a problem receiving payment so I can't vouch for that.  I had a problem with my phone I sent them an email about it and was fired the next day.  Karen put me on hold and came back to the phone instead because I had a low whole time since my phone was messed up that I was fired.   Which I thought was rude because I normally can't between 11 and 12 hold time.  All the bonuses that were no longer available to anyone yet they expect us to log on 24 hours a day.   I'm actually very glad to not work there anymore.   I would not advise anyone to apply.

#2 UPDATE Employee

You get what you get if you follow the rules

I read both of the above reports.  Both seem to be disgruntled former employees. The first one seems to be a whole lot of heresay and never actually had any employee commit fraud sagainst them.  She doesn't even have their full names.  I did a lot of research but couldn't find anything about fraud but I did find a lot of very high (good) business ratings.  It seems all of their complaints are covered in UPA's code of conduct and rules.  First, I have never had to talk to a minor.  Although I have been with the company less than a year, Traci has been very explicite that if the caller states they are a minor then we are to keep it rated G and contact the MOD via text while on the call.  The MOD can then hop on the line and disconect the call. If we don't and we are monitored, that is immediate termination. The MOD must release you from the call for legal reasons and to make sure they have the recording to back you up. Traci also states if you do not keep your call average at 10 minutes or above (and there are a lot of calls that are excluded such as hangups and calls less than 20 secs.) then you can be released from your contract.  Although the company does keep track of your pay rate and calls automatically, you are encouraged to keep your own log which is easily accessed online at anytime before, during, or after your shift, so that you can reconcile against their acounting as any legitimate employer would do. I have been using this tool from day one and it is great!  They give you an entire spread sheet format that you can simply copy for your own records. As for direct deposit complaint. UPA is very clear that they do NOT provide direct deposit.  They will issue a countercheck and deposit it for you during the course of their normal business if you also bank at certain banking outlets that they also use.  If you are not comfortable with that, then you can opt for a hard check which mails out within 10 days of the end of the pay cycle. So as for being a week late, UPA state it can be over a week after the end of the pay period for a hard check.  It is your choice to take that chance. As for them being 2-3 checks behind? UPA pays Bi-weekly. So, that would mean you worked for them for 6 weeks without being paid?  That sounds suspect to me.  I don't know anyone who would work for almost 2 months without a pay check. The copany does not offer "bonuses" but does base pay on your all averages.  You earn a base hourly rate based on your call average.  Although this can fluctuate depending on how good you are, it can only fluctuate a couple dollars per hour and you do make more than minimum wage as a base. There are absolutely no bonuses involved at all. The minimum work hours are 20 hours per week.  If girl #2 only worked 16 hours one week then the rules or clear, you can be terminated.  Was it a nice thing to do since she was sick? Probably not, but UPA also gives you a second week to repair the damage done before they let you go. If she was not fullfilling her contract then they were just with letting her go. It does not matter how much the callers are paying for the service, each employe signs a contract and knows EXACTLY what the pay is BEFORE they start to work.  If you want to earn $3.99 a minute, then you can go out on your own as an independant contractor and you can promote yourself and troll for calls, pay for the phone service connections and the debit/credit cards banking fees and be hit with chargebacks when a customer disputes a call, and deal with any complaints or legal fees associated with being an independant contractor.  I have researched a lot of companies, and there are a lot out there.  Some pay better but have higher demands or want you to troll or use a cam or, your can work for a set hourly rate with the ability to earn more for call average based on your performance and know EXACTLY what you are going to get with no worries of chargebacks.

The long and the short, everything the above ladies talked about are completly covered by UPA rules and the contract that they must sign as employees.  If they broke the rules then they were justly terminated.  If they didn't like the pay, then they should not have taken the position.  Complaining about the rate pay after your signed a contract stating you accept it, is well, shame on you.  I know what I am in for. I read the fine print.  UPA was detailed in the pros and cons, what the legal do's and don'ts are, what their expextations are, and what the consequenses are if you fail to live up to your contract.  Just like there are many jobs out there, there are also many phone actresses out there. They are a business.  If you can't perform, they can find someone else.

#1 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

UPA Communications PhoneStars.com David, Traci, Christina, and Paige Scammers

AUTHOR: Idontgettired - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, September 21, 2015

So I have been working for this company for a few months, and just like the previous report, I have had children that called the line and stated they were underage and I was just instructed to PG13 our conversation with these children. I was instructed to engage in these conversations with minors by Traci. A few times my check came a week late, and it got very frustrating and David Paye insisted that I open a Chase account and start getting direct deposit from the company.

When I would check my bank account for my direct deposits, I noticed that they were not direct deposits, they were counter deposits. I worked for this company doing above average performances. I sometimes had 4 callers in a 6 hour time frame that would stay on the line with me for up to 45 minutes at a time. I was only paid $8 hour and customers where telling me that where paying up to $3.99 a minute.

I got sick one week and barely made a 6 minute average for only one week, that I probably worked 16 hours , the next day I was unable to work, contact any of the other employees or customer service. They basically cut my contract without notice. David called me later, and told me I would no longer be paid due to my contract being cut, but they owe me 2-3 more checks, that I actually needed. This company sucks, and its better to just find a legit company to work for.
