Upper Fox Securities, Inc. UPPER FOX SECURITIES, INC WINNING FINAL NOTIFICATION! $4980! THIS IS A SCAM!!! Toronto Ontario

I received a white envelope with no return address from Upper Fox Securities, Inc. located in Toronto, Ontario. Inside was a check for $4,980. It looks legit but given today's society...I'm very leary about these things. The letter advised that I had won $125,000 from a total prize money worth $4M. The enclosed check was to cover taxes of $2,980 on the winnings for which I had to call a number within 10 days and provide a claim number before depositing the check. The check was to cover the applicable government taxes. The letter also urged me to keep this winning CONFIDENTIAL. Now that threw up a red flag. I smelled fraud. Sure enough, I tried to google the bank and it directs you to another bank for which I called them to verify funds (just for grins). Okay--so I guess you wondering if it is really legit. NO--it is not--it is a FAKE!! The Peoples Heritage Savings Bank does NOT EXIST!!! A bank called Peoples Heritage Bank does exist however, they do not have any check numbers that are like the one on the check I received nor do they have a company named Upper Fox Securities, Inc. I googled Upper Fox Securities and about 3 different reports showed up on ripoffreport.com that revealed several other people had received similar checks and almost identical information in the letter. PLEASE DO NOT DEPOSIT THIS CHECK!! These guys want your banking and other personal information. THIS IS FRAUDULANT!!

Always be safe with your personal information and check out everything before you believe it. Too many vultures are out there just waiting for their next prey.
