Recently my daughter moved into a new condo. So she purchased a new dining room table and chair set from Urban Home - Rancho Cucamonga at Victoria Gardens. When she got the table and chairs home, she tried to put them together but none of the holes matched up.

We called the store and they told us to bring the chairs back and they would put them together. However, after several attempts to put them together back at the store, the employees were unable to assemble the chairs. The manager order us new chairs and said they would be put together before we went to pick them up. When we went to pick the new ones up, only three were put together and they were having problems with the 4th.

While we were at the store, my daughter noticed that the chairs were uneven, but the employees said it was because the floor at the store was uneven. We signed for the 3 chairs that were completed and said we would pick up the 4th the following day.

When we got the three chairs to her new place, the second we put them down, screws fell out of the bottom. The chairs were still uneven and did not sit on the floor without wobbling. She decided that she did not want the chairs any longer because she did not feel safe sitting in them after all the problems she already had with them.

The next day I called the manager at Urban Homes and told her the whole story and that we just wanted to return the chairs and get our money back. She informed me that there would be a 20% restocking fee, which is ok for people that just decide that they do not like the product they bought for whatever reason. However, this is not the case for my daughter. She really likes the chairs, however, they have proven to be poor in quality and she should not have to pay for something that is bad in quality. Urban Home will not bend on this rule and is charging her the 20% restocking fee of $47 for the 3 chairs that we took position of, which is about the sale price of $49.00 per chair.

People should not be paying for companies bad quality. I told the manager that we would never return to this store if my daughter was charged for the 20% but they did not seem to care.
