US benefits credit card co. ripoff

company called me at home, said i applied for credit card recently and told me they selected me for their co. they offered me free legal advice, free hewlett packard computer, free sprint cell phone, and up to 1000$ credit on their major credit card. according to their bank approval.

i gave them all my personal info including, soc. sec #, bank acct # etc. the fee was 279$ but i postdated it until jan.11. they gave me their phone # for customer service, and when i called to verify, the message was in french and i couldn't understand it, i called info and got an insurance co. that told me they had received several phone calls about said company and were as disgruntled as i am. they are going to look into it also, but i don'y want to have any problems with my bank account,as i already have enough problems being a single mother, i feel i am being taking advantage of, even tho i was stupid enough to give them info.
