U.S. Buildings U.S. Buildings refuses to return deposit and threatens collections Deerfield Beach Florida

On 8/14/08, USB made a high-pressure sales pitch to sell me a metal building, stating that the deal was available "only today" due to a "cancelled order." I had my contractor on the phone with the sales rep to ask some questions. Part of the deal was that the sales person, "Mickey" agree to fax preliminary specs (NOT blueprints!) to my fax number that day. Mickey made numerous calls to my home, cell and office until he received my deposit of $1725. However, the "specs" never came.

I called the following day (Friday) and was told by Mickey that his sales manager was "taking care of that" (the fax) today. The day passed with no fax as promised. By now I believed I was dealing with a less-than reputable company.

On Saturday, 8/16/08, I faxed a cancellation of my order and received a fax confirmation. I also left a voicemail for Mickey asking for a callback. I received no call on Monday, 8/18/08, or Tuesday 8/19/08. I called this morning (8/20/08). Mickey said first that he "had not gotten any fax," and then, after I told him I had a confirmation, he said he had been "out sick." Then he yelled that it was too bad, that I would just lose my deposit. I told him that I have disputed the charge with my credit card co., and he said he would simply PLACE IT INTO COLLECTIONS He was screaming at the top of his lungs.

This company should NOT receive $1725 in exchange for NO SERVICES and abusive customer practices!
