I was contacted by U.S. energy savings corp. The deal sounds good at first. Looking into the contract further, I found that you are locked into a high gas rate for 5 years. I was given 30 days to close the account. I signed the contract on Nov. 19th of 2008 and called to close it on Dec. 9th of that same year. My account was activated on Dec. 11th. As of right now I'm still fighting with them to get the account closed and my money back. I have been getting overcharged by about $100 a month. So far I'm being told that it takes 1 to 2 months for the account to close. Someone needs to let theae people know that Nov. to Feb. is a little more than 2 months. For that matter, if an account is closed before it takes effect, why was it ever started? I thought computers were faster than that. If anyone out there hears from this corporation. . .just say no!! It's not worth the effort.
