I am 65 years old. Two years ago, my doctor put me in touch with US Healthcare Supplies, LLC to order a TENS unit to try for relieving my fibromyalgia pain. My doctor left his practice before the TENS unit could be delivered so that was the end of my relationship with US Healthcare Supplies, LLC.
In 2015 I received a phone call from US Healthcare, LLC (not US Healthcare Supplies)telling me about a topical prescription ointment with Lidocaine and asked if I would OK them to contact my doctor to see if my doctor would approve a prescription for me to try the ointment. If so, they would have a pharmacy fill it and mail it to me.
Before I received my prescription I called the phone number for US Healthcare Supplies and I was told that they deal with TENS Units and the division I wanted, US Healthcarewhich handles the medications, had another phone number and they would transfer me. So US Healthcare, LLC and US Healthcare Supplies, LLC appear to be related companies.
The pharmacy US Healthcare, LLC chose to fill my first and only approved prescription was Woods Pharmacy 151 Texas Rd., Old Bridge, NJ 08857. I received my prescription and three days later I received my first phone call asking me if I wanted to renew my prescription. I told the rep, no, that I needed to test out the ointment and NOT to audtoship any prescription refills. In fact, when I completed the initial paperwork for the pharmacy I did NOT check the auto refill checkbox. I said that if I felt the ointment worked I would call to authorize a new prescription.
Since then I have been through months of the most aggressive and oppresive marketing techniques designed to pressure clients into reordering prescriptions. I received no less than two live calls a week, two to three auto dialer calls and at least one letter me to renew my prescription.
In the interim I called the company three times, always spoke with a different rep. I asked them to document the call and to stop calling and badgering me by phone and letters. I again reiterated that I did NOT want to renew the prescription and to leave me alone.
After many upsets I finally got the calls to stop but then the phone call reminders and letters were relentless. I tried calling customer service again to stop the oppressive marketing but I could never reach a live rep again. I wound up in call waiting queues for hours with no one to take a call, only to leave a voice mail message, which I did.
Then, in July, I found a notice in my mailbox that a delivery attempt was made for a certified package and to pick up at the post office. The sender of the certified package was Woods Pharmacy. It seems that they mailed me an unauthorized prescriptionhoping I'd sign for it. If I did, I figured they could then bill my insurance company and claim I accepted the prescription.
I was livid by then. I made a couple more attempts to speak with someone in customer service but no answer. So I called US Healthcare since they were the ones who referred the prescription to Woods Pharmacy for help.
I spoke with a rep and told her the story and the unauthorized prescription mailing attempt. I told her since US Healthcare has some relationship to Woods Pharmacy they needed to stop what they were doing and let them know I was not going to pick up their unauthorized prescription and let the post office return it.
The US Healthcare rep was very cautious in her repsonse wording. She said that they were not Woods Pharmacy and therefore she could not do anything to help me. But I persisted and she said she could not give me the phone number of the person I needed to speak to at Woods Pharmacy BUT she could send an email to the manager of the deprtment that handles client cancellation requests.
A couple of hours later I spoke with this manager who was authorized to delete clients, I told her the story and told her that I did not authorize the prescription, did not take receipt of it and it was sitting at the post office for them to ship back. I demanded to be removed from their system and never again be bothered by Woods Pharmacy, and I would never order anythiing from their pharmacy again.
I also called Medicare and my Medicare Part D drug plan and told them about the attempt to deliver an unauthorized prescription, that I did not take possession of the package and not to pay this claim if Woods Pharmacy billed them. At the end of the month, sure enough, Woods Pharmacy attempted to bill Medicare Part D for nearly $900, for an ointment with only 5% Lidocaine. I saw how fast I could have wound up in the Medicare drug plan "donut hole" if I had unknowingly signed for prescriptions I did not authorize. Anyway, Medicare reversed the charge.
I finally had some peace. No more calls or contacts. Then on saturday, September 16, I received a bill from Woods Pharmacy for the amount of the unauthorized prescription that I never took possession of in the amount of $827.47! I am not going to pay the bill of course since I did not authorize the prescription and did not sign for it. I do not know what this group is up to but I am pursuing a means to protect myself, file a claim against the companies and open an investigation. I would advise consumers to exercise caution when dealing with any of these companies.

The senior customer service manager, Michael Kehoe, was alerted to my RipoffReport.com report on my experiences with Woods Pharmacy and its sister companies. Mr. Kehoe contacted me by phone and, to his credit, expeditiously met all my demands to resolve all issues to my satisfaction in action and in writing.

From the entire team at Woods Pharmacy, we are sincerely sorry for the way this account was handled. When we were first notified of this complaint, we immediately looked into it and realized that we poorly handled this account. Woods Pharmacy is aware of this and we are in the process of completely revamping our answering system and customer service experience. Our customer service manager reached out to Leslee right away, apologized and discussed necessary action that we may take to rectify the situation. Since then we have set up a return of the product and fully refunded all claims to Leslee and her insurance company. We believe that this account is finally resolved. In closing, Woods Pharmacy reiterates that it made a mistake, but we are always looking ahead to improve our service and achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
