We signed up for US Merchant Systems because they stated no closing fees. We have only been in business for a few months and have decided to close our company. When we tried closing our account we were told we cost them money because we didn't use the merchant account. We only sold a few products and the customers chose to use Paypal. He then stated we breached the contract by having other methods of payment on our website. We told him that our Representative looked at the website and it clearly stated Payapl. He said they are charging us $295.00 to close the account for breech of contract.
We've only been in business a few months and put what little we had into it and $295.00 is no small amount to us. I would I had read the reviews before signing with them as I see now throwing in fees when you cancel is common.

US Merchant Systems auto renews your contract

BEWARE!!! us merchant systems automatically re enrolled you into another three year contract. This should never happen. The contract that they sent me was so blurry I couldn’t read it. I made a mistake by taking the word of the salesman. Make sure you find a service that doesn’t have any hidden fees or auto renews.they also hit me with a $120 cancellation fee. The service they provided is the same service that you’ll get anywhere else. The reason I decided to cancel my service is that they cancelled the terminal I was using. The worst part was they were making me by a new terminal. I decided if I was going to have to go that route I am going to switch companies. I hope this helps anybody that is thinking of using this service or wanting to leave thim.
