USA Movers Inc & Atlantic Van Lines ripoff moving companies scam Sunrise & Plantation Florida

My husband and I just moved from Wisconsin to California, and booked my move with Atlantic Van Lines. Over the phone they said that I would be charged $1135 for their estimate of 240 cubic feet. They also e-mailed this to me. They promised me that I would not be charged for anything else; not stairs, not packing materials, and if I went over their estimate it would be $5.25 per cubic foot.

Atlantic also said it would take 5-7 days for my things to be delivered. I was very naive. When the movers came, it was another company called USA Movers. The movers barely understood English, and they actually called us one day in advance and forced us to change our pick-up date! We decided to cooperate.

They ended up charging us $7 per extra cubic foot (we went 90 over our "estimate"), and $250 for packing materials. We were bullied into giving a $150 tip because of the flights of stairs. They told us they would deliver our things in 5-7 days. We paid 50% at that time.

It has now been 15 days and we still haven't recieved our things. We call and complain to USA Movers, and they laugh at us when we say we're contacting the Better Business Bureau and an attorney. We don't know if we'll ever see our stuff again, or if it will all be in one piece! We also don't know if they're going to try to charge us even more than the $1000 extra we already agreed to pay.

Each time we call, they tell us it will be "a few more days", but everything they say is a lie. They are rude, unprofessional, and dishonest. This has been a nightmare for us, and it's not even over yet! Please help us get our things and get revenge!
