I was ripped off by USA platinum. They deducted $150.00 from my bank account that I didn't authorize, they tried to send me some stupid "voucher" that was supposed to cover the $150.00 that they stole from me. And, they sent me a cheap piece of plastic with no logo on it. I never authorized any funds to be withdrawn, I was told that I would get a "credit card" with a $7,500.00 limit. When I received this card, I called to find out where I could use it and was told that I could only buy things from their company. I later found out about the bank withdraw. When I called back, I was assured that a voucher was being sent to me for $150.00 to cover my missing money. When I received the voucher, it said I had to spend $500.00 for it to be valid. I called the company and tried to cancel all of this, but was told that I couldn't cancel. It hadn't even been thirty days but I took it as a loss and figured I was stupid to fall for it. Now, years later, I stumble across this website. Is anything being done about this? Can we get reimbursed?

How to get your money back.

My account has been debited twice for $149.99 in less than a month. I had no idea who these people were or what happened until I called the bank and received a copy of the "E check". I was a victim of identity theft and this is the fifth debit out of my account by various companies. If I were you were you I would go to the bank and dispute the charges. The bank will put your money back into the account but then you'll have to either file a stop payment on the e-check or change bank accounts. Trust me, it's an on-going problem. You best work with your financial institution rather than this company. You'll get a hundred different stories on how to get your money back and you probably never will. My bank is putting the money back and will let this fraudulent company know they are not getting my money.
Good luck, they are everywhere.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Perhaps dispute account with a reporting agency.

I purchased a USA Platinum "credit card" through this company in 2002 for $150.00. The card was merely for the CMG Credit retail outlet. I tried to get a refund, but they were not cooperative. Today the account is still on my credit report. If less than sixty days have transpired, dispute the transaction with your bank as soon as possible. I just found out about (((ROR redacted))) which has a product that apparently can help victims of credit card fraud. If you did not purchase the card yourself I would recommend disputing the account with your credit reporting agency by obtaining a free credit report as a possible secondary option.
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
