This company is dirty.

I have a new small business. My assistant was looking at business credit card offers online to establish credit for the business. Inadvertently, she entered in our banking info to their site.

Here's the thing, yes, my assistant is to blame. However, NOWHERE on USA Platinums site (except the hard to find terms section) does it say that once you enter in the info, they are going to charge your account $150!

It isnt until after you hit submit that they tell you.

Thats shady. I promptly called my bank and put a stop on all charges from USA Platinum. Nowhere in their site is their phone number. you can only email. Fortunately, they respond quickly, only to tell you that they cannot cancel accounts! You have to call. but thank goodness they give you the number.

I sat on hold for almost 20 minutes, but I did speak to someone who actually WAS helpful and cancelled the account before the charges took place. If you need to call them, at 800-262-4192, make sure you get the cancellation number. And call your bank! My bank was sweet enough to waive the charges for the stop payment, but only because they cannot guarantee a stop without knowing HOW the charge will come across.

This company really needs to cease this activity. Its deceptive and underhanded to casually ask for the bank info (which all credit companies do!) only to tell you AFTER the fact that they are going to charge you.

I am in now way supporting this company, I am only a legal expert offering advice. They DO say upfront that $149 will be charged for the 1st annual membership cost. Thi is stated BEFORE someone agrees & clicks the submit button, agreeing to the terms and conditions so I may advise you to 1st, NOT let your help run your finances and 2nd to READ any and ALL papers before agreeing and to actually READ terms and conditions before signing saying you HAVE READ THEM! Far too many ppl b***h about being "ripped off" when it was they who got themselves taken
