Beware of this company...they sell junk!
I ordered a Mini MX for my son for Christmas and it arrived in a flimsy box which had several large holes in it. After opening the box the first thing I noticed was a scratch on the plastic plate in the front of the bike. The paint on it was not smooth and obviously had dirt mixed in it. Disappointed a bit, but could live with the imperfections.
THEN... I took off the styrofoam from the back fender only to discover that the end of it was completely broken off! The pieces were not even in the box which means they shipped it to me broken! The fender also had a 4" crack/split in it. It looked like someone dropped it on its tail end.
I immediately called the company and after being on hold 10 minutes was told that they would ship me a replacement part as soon as I filled out the claim form. I asked if I would have the replacement part before Christmas since this is/was a gift. They promised me I would. I hung up (somewhat appeased) and went back to unpack the bike.
The next thing I noticed was the detailing on the side of the bike. There are silver "flames" painted down each side. At TWO locations the paint has been obviously scratched off (an area the size of a quarter or larger!) and someone just "touched it up". It looks like crap. It looks like they took a bottle of silver nailpolish and colored in the missing paint! CHEAP!
On the bottom of the box was a 3-4" oil ring from dripping oil and the engine cover was all scratched up. I'm not talking an accidental scratch or two...I'm talking several dozen MAJOR scratches. It looks like a pre-owned bike.
At this point I was so disgusted at the quality of the bike (and so worried that it had some serious mechanical damage due to the shipping and poor packaging), I called the company back and after 20 minutes on hold, I told the woman I wanted to return the bike. She informed me that they don't accept returns and that I understood this when I placed my order online.
PROBLEM IS... I ordered over the phone and the man who took my order never even mentioned a return policy. How convenient for them.
Lucky me that when you place an order on a credit card YOU ARE PROTECTED! Credit card merchants MUST take returns on damaged items. BEWARE of this company...the products are cheaply made. You get what you pay for! My son has toys that are a higher quality than these bikes!
By the way, the claim form is this companys way of blaming damage on the shipper (in this case UPS). One of the first questions is "Did you inform the shipper of damage to the box before you signed?"....if not, you void your claim!!! As I metioned above the bike was broken and the pieces were not even in the box...definitely not the fault of UPS!
It also clearly states that once they get the money for the damaged parts from the shipper (if the shipper accepts responsibility for their crappy product) they will send me the replacement parts. This takes a minimum of 30 days...no way I'd receive my replacement parts before Christmas (as promised)!
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!
