I recieved my latest phone bill from local phone company. On the bill was an Alternate Operator Service charge for a service I had no knowledge of. (Line Item listed as: 625 OAN SERVICE. Service provided by 219 USA Voicemail)
Number that I was given was constantly busy!
I get connected to them at 1 (866) 966-7226.
Speaking to a customer service representitive I was informed that I approved this service from a web-site www.myvoicemailprize.com
They said I gave them my name, SSN, telephone number, and e-mail address. They also stated that I agreed to Terms and Conditions, and that an e-mail was sent to me confirming?
(I did ask for an example e-mail to be sent, it would clearly look unsolicited, of course this service WAS unsolicited.)
No phonecalls, or written confirmation of order was ever recieved from this company!!
Customer service representitive also could not provide the IP address and exact time from which this service was ordered for me.
Customer service representitive made it difficult in canceling all future billings of this service.
It was very difficult in removing the existing billing, and they claimed that the supervisors were all busy.
