Not impressed with @USAA or @GerberCollision in Scottsdale, Arizona - Raintree Drive location - My auto insurance company @USAA uses them for one of their approved repair facilities. I took my vehicle there for a repair estimate. The appraiser wrote an estimate for a "cloth" interior door panel - to repair, not replace. My interior door panel is black leather and vinyl. @USAA approved and paid this incorrect estimate. When I took my vehicle to my own shop they laughed and said "the estimate is incorrect and we are not going to deal with it, there are only a few of this vehicle's correct interior door trim panels in the USA ( BMW) and they cost around $650.00." I called @USAA yesterday and explained that Gerber wrote an incorrect estimate and explained the situation. @USAA was RUDE and said that I have to purchase the correct part and fax them a supplemental estimate for their review and approval. Well, @USAA incorrectly reviewed, approved, and paid for a $125.00 cloth interior door trim panel and did not notice that my BMW is black leather/vinyl. Beware of @Gerber Collision for writing low ball estimates - it appears that mine was written this way to force me to have my repairs done at Gerber. This is not my first problem as an insured with USAA, but it will be my last as I will no longer insure with them - after 27 years. Lisa, AZ
