USABD INTERNET SOLUTION (USABD)
On July 11, 2007, There was a mysterious monthly charge of $49.95 that appeared on my AT & T June 14, 2007 telephone bill. Upon further investigation, this $49.95 on-going charge is fraudulent. According to the company representative, it is for internet search enhancement. On July 11, 2007 at 2:11 pm, I phoned USABD. A person who said her name was Patricia took the call. Patricia claimed that I authorized the charge. This is blatantly false. I did listen to the sales pitch for this service and realized immediately that it was a scam. As I did not authorize this companys service, I thought that the matter was over.
On July 11, 2007 at 2:24 pm I contacted AT & T about the matter. Jed Walls said he took down the information. Mr. Walls said that AT & T was not affiliated with USABD Internet Solution. AT & T is affiliated with them. AT & T is furthering USABD financial interests.
On: infoplease.com (an online dictionary) affiliate is defined as:
1. to bring into close association or connection
2. a business concern owned or controlled in whole or in part by another concern
Question: Does AT & T receive a percentage of the fraudulently garnered charges that AT & T collects for USABD? It is contrary to normal business practices to work for nothing, so suspicion is certainly attached to AT & T collection services in this regard.
What is lamentable for America, is that the FCC (888) 225-5322 #4, then #2, requests that the victim first attempt to settle the dispute with the company. One would suspect (we will see) that USABD would settle, i.e., return the embezzled funds when contacted by its victims. Thus, following the FCCs telephone recording, USABD is free to continue its internet crimes. The FCC does not take down the information and tabulate the number of complaints about any particular company. Since the FCCs complaint process is quite protracted and cumbersome, it deters bothering the FCC more than the FCC bothers to investigate serious criminal activity. Internet crime is basically free to continue, and grow, unimpeded. America is on the decline.... Lets class action these criminals!
