I entered the greencard lottery via USAfis over 2 years ago. First I received a phone call saying I had been selected for VIP entry and the chances of me winning were extremely great and it was going to cost me whatever it was cant remember now which I paid. I received a phone call today 21 June 2010 saying once again that my chances of winning were extremely great and that they wanted to help me in every way possible with my application which was ready to go to the final activation. I would receive the 2010 up-to-date legal book and software for filling out the immigration forms, advanced spanish CD and introduction to italian CD. This was going to cost me EUR 838. With some hesitation I accepted although luckily there was not enough funds in my account to go through today. They were not concerned about this and said the system would continue to keep trying until they were able to successfully debit my account.

Alarm bells started going off in my head so I googled and found this website. It appears that some other people have had the same/similar experiences. I am not disputing that this company may not be legit, it could be but on the actual US Citzenship & Immgration Services website it says "Some companies have sought money in order to "complete" lottery entry forms. There is no charge to download and complete the Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form. The Department of State notifies successful Diversity Visa applicants by letter, and NOT by e-mail."

Having come across this website today and the other complaints I contacted my bank to have a stop payment put on the EUR $838 (USD $1036). I will continue my efforts to enter the green card lottery myself through the actual government webside www.uscis.gov

So after having told them I changed my mind and do not attempt to take the 838 EUR out of my account, I received an email saying they had stopped payment and withdrawn my greencard application completely!!!  Excuse me ??? I had already paid for the entry into the greencard lottery and for VIP entry 2 years ago for three years - ie I paid them to submit that application into the lottery for next year's draw also !!!!!
