I recieved an email one day that I was preapproved for a 5000.00 creit limit and I said to myself yeah they will pull my report and deny me. However, this commpany said that there would be no credit report pulled I decided to apply. I am in the proces of rebuilding my credit again from when I was laid off from my employment. I have been very behind in bills and saw this as an oppurtunity to buld up my credit.

They told me that would be required to pay a fee of 149.95 that would be taken out of my checking account. They would attempt this 3 times (3 business days after I applied and then cease. I really didin't have he money but I tried it anyway. Then by about the 2nd day I realized that I definetley could not afford it. I searched through everything that I could to cancel my application and could find no info but the city and state

I then asked for the phone number from information and of course when I called no one answered. Then after trying for days on end to research how to get in contact with the company I find out that they had withdrawn 149.95 out of my account without my authorization to do so further and of course they provided the bank with no information except the the company name.

This has cost another 100.00 in returned check fees from small checks of 5.00 and 20.00 that couldn't be paid because of this unauthorized transaction. This has now left me without enough money to pay my bills let alone the ones I acquired after being laid off. I am in school and cannot make my payment, I cannot pay my car payment, and I cannot pay my phone bill nor storage bill in which all of my belongings reside that I worked so hard to acquire. As a result of a money hungry, decieving, lying, manipulative, business of malpractice that has decided to take what never belonged to them I am in danger of losing all the aforementioned things.

I am in dire need off help. Please beware of any companies that offer you credit of $1,000-10,000 and do not require anything but for you to be 18yrs old, and a us resident, and to have a job. Usa Credit(Commonwealth Marketing Group, Inc.) are scandulous liars only out to take your money and ruin your life.

Very Confused About Your Complaint

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 16, 2003

You stated that you received an email asking you to apply and even though you didn't really have the money you would try it anyway. Then after a few days you changed your mind since you really didn't have the money(which you had every right to do) You state that you was unable to locate a phone number to contact them to cancel and then within a few days the company charged you without your authorization. Even though your previous statement stated that you did apply. So how was it without your authorization? . So I am not sure why you feel that they are scandalous liars when they only did what you asked them to do.

I also have been to the website, and previously to applying I did some research which is how I ended up here. However after reading the terms and conditions of the applictaion and fully understanding what I would be getting into and also getting from the site an email address that I can contact if I have any questions, I feel pretty secure about applying for this card, all the complaints I have read so far have led me to believe that it is simply a matter of consumers not thoroughly reading and or understanding prior to applying or purchasing something.
