On what must have been June 25th (when according to them my services began) this company called one of my employees wanting to update our 'free listing'. The employee was told afterward that he is to hang up on anyone who offers these services in the future.

I received a letter from the USB Organization on July 13th. Normally I would just throw this sort of thing away but I decided to open it up. It was the company stating that my employee had signed up for their services. I would receive an internet listing and internet access for a month free. After that it would be $29.95 a month.

I called their 800 number and told them I did not authorize their service and asked it to be removed. All I was told was "okay" by a man named Danny.

I will be waiting to see if the charges still appear on my phone bill - but I am writing this report because I am suspicious of this company. My reasons are as follows.

When signing onto my 'free website' with the information they've provided..

1. My account is still considered active even after having asked them to remove it.
2. In the letter I received my preview period ends on August 3rd and I will only be charged after that. Their website says my preview ended on July 9th.
3. All attempts to contact this company through email have resulted in mail being rejected. They have two email addresses. The address in the members area for customer support has a link of "Support@mysubo.com" but when you click on the link it actually directs you to "Support@theeasyyellowpages.com". I have found scams related to the easy yellow pages. The contact email on their main webpage is "support@myusbo.com" and does link to this address.

I have tried both of these addresses from various email accounts and these are always the results.

If my account still shows as active in the coming days I will be calling this company again.

If anyone has experience with this company or with theeasyyellowpages.com who they appear to be associated with - let me know! If I resolve this issue (with or without pain) I'll surely let everyone know how to resolve it for themselves as well.

Charges Appear On Bill

On September 9th I received my most recent phone bill. Sure enough there is a charge for $31.90($29.95+1.95 tax) from USB Organization. It didn't appear on August's bill, either it took a month to process or they hoped I would forget.

I called the 800 number on my phone bill and it does match the number that I was given in their letter.

When I spoke originally to "Danny" I don't recall if he took my phone number to pull up the account, but this time the lady that answered the phone did. She said she would issue a credit to my account.

I'll wait and see.
