I recently took out a loan from two online payday lenders
Took these out on 5/24/11
* Ameriloan---> $200
* Usfastcash-->$300
 Usfastcash says I owe $510
Ameriloan says I owe $350

I called both of these companies ahead of time to let them know that my hours on my job were cut

therefore I would not have the funds available in my checkings account when they debited the

money. However, USfastcash told me the loan would have to go into DEFAULT before they could do

anything. Ameriloan debited my account multiple times overdrawing my checkings account in which

case I had to close my account to prevent any other occurences. I received a phone call today from

USFastcash and the rep left me a voicemail stating that my check came back as a closed account

but if I called them today before 4:30pm I could set up a payment plan and I would not be charged

for any other fees and I would pay the loan off at a cheaper rate.

When I called to set up a payment plan the female I spoke to asked me would I like to make the

payment of $510 today I wanted to say B%^&8 are you crazy!! But instead I told her no I can't

afford to pay that much however, I would like to set up a payment plan for the principle amount

that I borrowed as I have fallen on hard times and can't afford anything more. She then told me

that she would mark the account as a refusal to pay!!

I mean what is that!! I later sent them a letter through their website stating that I would be in

contact with the BBB and my attorney general because I did not refuse to pay I called to set

up a payment plan. Can someone please tell me how I can handle both of these companies? Who

here has come out on the positive end? Why did I do this?

Action to take

Go ahead and try to open another checking acct somewhere while you still can, in case these guys are able to report ya.

If you're already on check systems there are still banks out there that don't use it.

If nothing else you can open a savings acct regardless, then after some time, usually six months, as a good customer the bank will give you a checking acct.

Don't pay em squat, this is USUARY!

Payday Loans

Unfortunately, you signed contract that clearily showed the fees involved (yes, I agree, they are astronomical).  With Ameriloan and USFast Cash, you can make arrangements to repay the amount owed (it must include the fees) ...if you agree to split the amount due into 4 installment payments and stick with them....they will not access any more fees to the amount due ...so with the $510 amount, I am sure you can repay this in four payment of $125......or something like that.  If you continue to ignore them, they will probably write off the amounts due and report you to the various agencies (ChexSystem, Teletrack) - you will be very limited in your ability to either open another checking account or borrow / write checks in the future.

Hope this helps.
