I went through a bid process with Uship. I wanted to have me vehicle shipped Seattle to Phoenix. I selected a shipper that could deliver by Monday after picking up my vehicle Saturday. The total cost including uShip fees was about $800. I psid uShip with my credit card and was give a payment code to provide shipper at delivery. My wife flew to Phoenix to meet driver and booked return flight for late tuesday night leaving one day of room for s potentisl late delivery. I was later told the Car souls not arrive until Thursday. My wife had to fly home as planned and then return to Phoenix late Wednesday night to meet driver Thursfay morning. This plane ticket was $800. I was in close communication with uShip all along the way and received little to no help.

Ultimately uShip cancelled the shipment. My car is now in Nevada. UShip has washed their hands of the situation and completely left me on my own with additional expense and no help in getting my car delivered. Now my car won’t be there until Friday. I’m personally flying there tonight and arrive at 1am because I do not want my wife to have to deal tbis company. The driver called me yesterday and insisted I pay cash COD and not credit card. I’m now being asked for $620 cash with no way to prove payment. This is the worst service experience I’ve ever had. UShip was comfortable collecting a big fee while things were going well. When their provider got difficult, they handed the problem to me and offered absolutely no relief or support.

Update on UShip Scam

AUTHOR: Greg - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, February 22, 2018

Update: After posting, I also reached out to the EVP of Operations and CEO, neither of which responded. I did quickly receive an email from a Supervisor apologizing. I later looked at my bank account and was charged $796.55. My "full” refund was $666.88. After paying the driver $620 in cash (assuming car arrives) I’m back to paying the full amount! I’m just paying part to UShip for very poor performance and the rest to the shipper for equally poor performance. They say the give you a refund, but ultimately only refund the "shipper” portion resulting in the customer having to pay the shipper the remaining balance instead of them. This feels like a scam. If I had a sense of humor (and unlimited time & resources), this would be funny.
