SCAMS
I have been with this company for some time now, since day one ,one problem after another, with dispatchers, miles, wages, etc.
COMMUNICATION
Definitely, it is no communication within the company, they play dummies or they are a bunch of ignorant people
As a driver you need to be in contact with your FM frequently, 90 % of the time they won't answer the phone or messages on the satcom.
One day I request my dispatcher for a scale approval, since my weight was 42000 lbs., it took him 2.5 hrs to respond me. That was Andrew Ellis, one of the worst ones within the company. Seems to me that they don't have enough dispatchers or they are lazy/incompetents.
My friend gets a written warning because he refused to keep driving, since he has no more hrs.available.
USXpress Company Policy: Never return phone messages....I already left messages for different depts. nobody ever return any messages..
Tuition Reimbursement Scam: They will take 2 cents per mile from your paycheck, plus $9.50 every month, and if you stay on that program the most you'll receive as a rate is $.33 per mile. So is not such a thing as a Company paid Tuition Reimbursement.
Per Diem Scam: Take advantage of tax break, so you can get more money..But they don't tell you that the paid rate is so low that if you run 300 miles, they will pay you $50. So, if the government is giving you a brake with this per diem program, why the company has to pay you less rates per mile. They charge the same rates to customers, so there is another one...

let's look at a few things shall we Migelin
"COMMUNICATION
Definitely, it is no communication within the company, they play dummies or they are a bunch of ignorant people
As a driver you need to be in contact with your FM frequently, 90 % of the time they won't answer the phone or messages on the satcom."
why do YOU need to frequently contact your FM....? i call mine about once every week or two. and i never have trouble reaching him. i sat-com massages as needed mac23, mac1, mac2, mac3, mac6, sometimes mac7and mac8 everyday and i never have a problem. the reason you can't get a hold of him is he has 50-60 trucks like you calling him 3 times a day. think about it if 60 people call him 2 times a day and each talk 5 min's thats 10 hr's a day just to tell you the same thing, and lets not add all the sat-com massages from the same drivers and all the emails from the lp, breakdown, supervisors & csr's. maybe you should try doing that job. i was offered it and i turned it down. i make more money driving than they do.
"One day I request my dispatcher for a scale approval, since my weight was 42000 lbs., it took him 2.5 hrs to respond me."
why should they do it any sooner, company policy is you ONLY need approval if the load is UNDER 36,000....! as yours was OVER 36,000 you didn't need approval to scale it..! thats the company policy, why are you bothering them with something that as a driver you SHOULD know. just another reason it takes them so long to do anything.
"Seems to me that they don't have enough dispatchers or they are lazy/incompetents."
if you think you CAN do it better why don't you get a job doing it in colton, ca. they start at $45.000.
"Tuition Reimbursement Scam: They will take 2 cents per mile from your paycheck, plus $9.50 every month, and if you stay on that program the most you'll receive as a rate is $.33 per mile. So is not such a thing as a Company paid Tuition Reimbursement."
1st if you sign up for it and didn't read it that's YOUR fault right. 2nd a cdl school runs $5,000-$7,000 and usx tuition reimbursement runs for 1 year right, so $9.50 per month times 12 months = $114. and .02 per mile times 2500 miles (company avg.) = $50 per week times 52 weeks (1 year) = $2600 + the $114 means you paid $2714 for your cdl and they paid the rest what you want everything for free, it's such a scam when they paid $2500-$4500 and YOU have a cdl and after the year you can take YOUR cdl and go anyware.
"Per Diem Scam: Take advantage of tax break, so you can get more money..But they don't tell you that the paid rate is so low that if you run 300 miles, they will pay you $50. lets look at the REAL numbers shall we
on the web site a new driver right out of school on their first load (lowest starting wage) 300 mile run pays .35 pre mile -.02 tuition reimbursement (if you are in it) =.33 -.02 for being in per diem (if you are in it)=.31 per mile. that's .25 pre mile taxable .25 x 300 = $75 plus .06 nontaxable (per diem pay) .06 x 300 = $18. so a 300 mile trip with tuition reimbursement and per diem you would get paid $93 not the $50 you said. and by the way if you don't have tuition reimbursement or per diem your milage pay would have been .35 x 300 = $105 befor taxes.for the same trip. and if you don't like it just don't sign up for it and take off the per diem at the end of the year. and btw the reason they pay lesson on per diem is you don't pay taxes on the per diem side.
if your going to quote numbers at least try to be closer.......
"My friend gets a written warning because he refused to keep driving, since he has no more hrs.available."
then why did YOUR FRIEND send mac23 accepting the load....? by sending mac23 accepting the load HE (YOUR FIREND...?) gave his word that he could make the run within the time given. if he couldn't then he should have sent mac23 declining the load.
and yes i'm an otr driver and i have been with them for over 5 years.
