I have made many attempts to pay my charge off, they tell me I have to send them a payment before they will send me a statement, they say they have sent me mail I have never received anything. All I wanted was a bill so I could pay and they wont send me one and they hang up on me when I call and then they overtalk me and tell me that they are marking it as a refusal to pay, which is not the case. I ask to speak with a supervisor and he is even worse.
I have never had to deal with such a thing in my life.
I have written to the Better Business Bureau and the District Attorney in Illinois, also sent an email to Corporate Office and as of yet have not heard anything from any of them, but I will not give up.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING UNTIL THEY VALIDATE!!

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

Junk debt buyers and collection agencies will lie and tell you that they sent you mail and you had a chance to dispute, but didn't. DO not give them your bank or credit card information..that is an open invitation to rob you blind. DEMAND proof of the debt and tell them that IF the debt is valid, you will resolve it with the ORIGINAL CREDITOR. The only thing that comes out of giving money to a collection agency is WORSE credit, as you basically re-affirm the debt and start both the Statute of Limitations AND the credit reporting clocks all over again. The only winner in paying anything to a collection agency/JDB is the collection agency/JDB.

You should send them a "cease and desist" letter, demanding that they not call you at home or at your place of employment, nor are they to contact you through third parties, as they have your address and it would not be "locator information".

Their information (including their fax..FAX your letter as well as mailing it, as you will have a fax confirmation as proof it was sent in case they refuse your Certified Letter) is below:

1350 E. Touhy Avenue Ste 300E
Des Plaines, Illinois 60018
Phone: (800) 468-2678
Fax: (513) 573-2962
