We were contacted by Mark Taylor and asked if we wished to sell a time share we had purchased in Cancun, Mexico. A letter of intent was received and signed by us. Contracts were received, reviewed by our attorney, and signed and returned. We were told that the fee submitted ($3,480) was to the escrow account as the transfer fee (refundable). We were to close in 30 days. We were contacted again and were told we needed to send an additional amount ($2,088) which was the fee they charge to sell the property for us. At that time we told we would close within one week. That week came and went and when we contacted them we were then told that the Mexican government had (unknown to them) had implemented a 25% sales tax and the investor who was purchasing 40 time shares including ours would be paying that amount to the escrow account. Again we waited. Then a few days later we were contacted and told, "Oh, that won't work because Mexican government said that additional amount had to come from us, the sellers. But not to worry because all of our money was being held in escow, in a Mexican bank -- Banamex." The next day we were contacted and told that the percentage was reduced to 16%. At that point, we figured something was wrong and said, we no longer wish to sell and they sent us the paper work to cancel the transaction and we were told it could take up to 35 days for us to receive all of our money back ($5,568). This occurred on December 2, 2015. To date, after numerous phone calls and emails -- none of which were returned, we have received nothing.
