If only we had read Nancy's report on this seedy crew before heading up to Methuen, but my husband was set on receiving the 'free' airline tickets and car rental.
We received the same welcome and pitch she and he husband did at 'Vacation professionals.' The sad difference is that we actually gave them money, a lot of money. Normally intelligent people, we found ourselves lulled by the image of being able to draw our dispersed family together for holidays at the described resorts. Soon after handing over our money it became clear that 90% of the perks offered were available free of charge on the Travel to Go website. The one perk, 4 and 5 star resorts available for $400-$800 a week, evaporated into the air of pure fraud when we actually tried to book one. What was offered were time shares in less auspicious setting, and they tried to charge us extra for them.
We are in the process of trying to get a refund, but more significantly, realizing that if something seems too good to be true. It is.
