After being a member of VC for 5 years, it's time to tell the truth.

I had been recommended to use a contractor from Debbie at ValueCard to come to my home and do some work. Exact quote "I highly recommend [companyname], they'll do a great job."

My wife and I trusted VC with the recommendation. Contractor came to our home, mentioned there would be some cash portion to cover materials and needed the payment to start. We felt confident because of the high trust in VC's recommendation.

Never saw the contractor again. Gone. Cashed the check and is on the run.

ValueCard will do NOTHING. They don't care. It's taken me months to get any communication back from them and what and if any steps can be taken to support me. NOTHING.

Quality is falling apart at ValueCard. Don't compromise your family or business by using contractors recommended by ValueCard. They may be multi-convicted felons. There is not quality protection inside this organization for its members. They care about 1 thing...transactions.

Unfair request

AUTHOR: Brian - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, July 16, 2018

The VCA system runs on a network of businesses owners working between each other.  VCA itself can not guarantee any of the goods or services as we are not the ones actually doing the work.  We do our best to bring only quality clients into the system and work diligently to handle any issues that are within our control.  If a client is fournd to be dishonest or unable to provide services up to the standards set forth in our rules and procedures they are removed from they system.

This was true of this situation as well.  When we were apprised of the situation, the contractor in question was removed from our referral group and the funds deposited through our system were reversed back to Mr. Naylor.  Unfortunately, Mr. Naylor would also like us to pay him for the cash funds that were given directly to the contractor.  These monies never went through our system nor were they paid to us, so what he is actually asking is for us to put monies that were never part of our side of the transaction.  Obviously this would be unfair to VCA.  He has been advised by the police that this matter must be taken up directly with the contractor in a legal manner.

This report that we are having to write a rebuttle on should never have been against us, but should be on the contractor in question as he is the person who has not provided the work and is refusing to refund the remaining monies.
