This is the rudest most insensitive company that I have ever had to deal with. Their employees threaten, use abusive langauge, call constantly, unwilling to listen and or work with customers.

I bought my home from Oakwood Homes they were the original lien holder then the next thing I knew Vanderbilt had taken over the mortage. It has been nothing but headaches since then.

I sent them a fax stating that they could speak with my sister as I can not make phone calls while I am at work, well all that started was a statement from them asking if I even lived in the home anymore.

They even wanted to know if my 15 year old son was working, give me a break. His job is to go to school not work to help pay the housenote.

Well when my sister spoke with them to see if they would work with us they said no way, so my sister asked so you have no problem putting us out on the street and they Misty Strugs said she had no problem with putting us out on the street.

What a great company that has no problem with putting people out on the street over two back house notes.

Yes I have been late before, but they always get their money. I lost my job last October so I am trying to play catch up, but they will not work with me.

Trying to talk with them is useless so I have given up cause they always say the same thing, get another job, tell everyone in the house to get a job, borrow the money from family and friends. Give me a break.

Well, they can have the trailer back. Misty said that she can sell it and get money for it. I wish her luck, the trailer is falling apart needs at least 10K worth of work to bring it up to sellable status.

I am moving out of the trailer after being in it for 10 years. It is a relief to know that I will not have to deal with them much anymore.

If anyone knows about a class action lawsuit against them please respond on here so that me and others can join the list.

To all of you still dealing with Vanderbilt I wish you the best of luck.

What do you expect them to do, you say you are 2 months past due, they are going to call and if you dont pay yes they will repo it. Also if they take the mobile home back and do not sell it for enough to pay off your note they can go after you for the remaining balance and depending on your state even garnish your wages. It is the same as a car or any other loan with collateral, if you do not pay they will take the collateral!!
