Charges started showing up on my Chase Credit Card.  1.97 69.97 29.95  multiple times over months.   There were many different 800 numbers associated with the charges.  I called and got a complete scam of a call center.  Clearly an Indian call center who claimed they were in Florida.  Wouldn't escalate to a supervisor, wouldn't give a supervisor contact, wouldn't reverse the charges.

So finally I reported them as fraud to Chase.  Had to close my account and get a new card number (VERY big hassle for many things that I had this number saved for repeat purchases).   Filed all the fraud paper work and recieved a fairly prompt credit from Chase.  So far so good.

Just checked my statement for my NEW account with Chase and ALL the charges were re-instated by CHASE!  WTF?

So I had to call Chase, get transferred many times and jump through each person's standard blow off script and finally to the "investigator" who decided that these charges were NOT fraudulent after all!   I couldn't believe it.  After a long phone battle with this person she finally agreed to reverse the re-instated charges for the fraudulent activity of course giving me a lecture on how I need to carefully scrutinize my statements.  Duh.

Many hours of frustrating phone hassles over many weeks.
