#GetMashedUp should be #GetPlayedNotPaid:
Facts:
-
The work I completed for the soon-to-be-launched VEARCH App was never compensated.
-
Multiple attempts to collect on an unpaid invoice went ignored despite a promise to pay being sent via email by the founder/owner.
-
Zachary James Larner, the owner of WikiKISS Inc. and the founder of the VEARCH APP sent emails stating I would be paid as stated, yet disappeared when I inquired about the payments that never came and were never sent.
-
When sending his promise to pay via email, Larner made week 5 deliverables that were to be added to a database a condition of payment for the week 4 deliverables that were already completed. The completed work is the basis for the entire app (guru feeds), yet the updated invoice remains unpaid.
-
He tried to engage in post-hoc renegotiation on the basis of not liking my copywriting/pitch text - i.e. 'we've decided not to use it, so we're not paying,' when the continued contract agreed upon at the beginning was never 'spec work.'
-
During the course of work he was also known to scope creep without adequate acknowledgement of my (contractor's) contributions or proper reimbursement.
In summation, with all work/deliverables turned in, the overdue payment still hasn't been made. And all contact from Vearch, Vearch Guru, WikiKISS Inc., Zachary James Larner has ceased. Again, this is after a promise to pay had been made. Multiple reminders have been with silence--crickets.
I encourage all freelancers, contractors, etc. to stay away from this disreputable business and unprincipled and crooked owner/founder unless you're a fan of working for free and chasing down the money you're owed to no avail.
No one should have to fight to be paid on time (or at all) for work completed in a timely manner.
