Velocity Express Corporation - Velocity Express Leasing - Velocity Express Velocity Express & Leasing Unable to collect correct pay check! Internet

I started with this company after responding to an ad on Craigslist.  I passed a drug & alcohol screening and a criminal background check.  I was hired and started work.  I was promised $150 a day to start.  I signed a Contract which I was NOT given a copy!  And nothing that I was promised ever materialized.  I have worked approximately 100 hours and I have received 2 paychecks, one for $87.00 and one for $80.00 and a gas loan $250.  I am still owed $750 MINUS the $250.00 gas allowance.

I am 66 years old and I am very aggravated at the way I have been treated.  Every time I call or attempt to speak to anyone about my money, I am met with the same response, time & time again.  - there's a mixup in the home office in Houston - there's a computer glitch in the home office.  My check was WRONG right before Christmas and I was told they "would straighten it out after the first of the year".  

The general attitude is one of rudeness & a total lack of concern.  The first of the year rolled around & I inquired about the status of my check & I was shown a piece of paper where SOMEONE (they don't know who) put initials beside my name and I was told I had no check.  They have done nothing about tracking down my check, I wonder if it even existed! 

And, then I am told I did not work on certain days, when in fact, I DID.  My sister-in-law recieved ID from Velocity to be my helper and she keeps a personal log.

Today when I called for the 4th time, in TWO WEEKS, she called me a liar and hung up on me!!  They haven't had any deliveries for me in over a week and now I feel like they are ignoring me because they don't want to pay me.

From what I am reading on the internet, THIS has been going on all over the country and for way too long.  There are laws and why is Velocity above the law?  No one seems to holding them accountable.
