Vemma Nutrition Company (aka GPS) is a pyramid / MLM scam.

They attempt to suck you into their scheme stating that they have an amazing work from home opportunity that can allow you to "fire your boss" and "realize the life you've always dreamt about". All one needs to do is to pay $9.95 to cover the shipping costs for you to receive a starter kit, with the promise that if you are not interested and return the starter kit within 14 days you will not be charged an additional $39.95 to cover the cost of said kit.

The starter kit comes is a cheaply made, 10 page pamphlet designed to fill peoples' minds with Vemma's propaganda and supposed testimonials that attest to how wonderful their products are, how successful their brand partners are running their own businesses, and "how you too can change your life!".

Next, your "mentor" (the person assigned to you to try to suck you in) schedules a phone interview with you to "make sure you are serious about changing your life".

Now, the phone interview. From my own experience, a woman named Elizabeth Igwe was assigned as my "mentor". As soon as I submitted my online inquiry with Vemma she immediately started to blow up my phone with calls and stern voicemails stating that I "must speak to her over the phone in order to proceed". I do not take kindly to strangers telling me what to do, especially when I have not reviewed the starter kit, so I emailed her back (yes, she sent a bunch of emails too) and told her to back off, let me review the kit, and then I would commit to a phone interview if I wanted to learn more.

Figuring I had nothing to lose, I committed to the phone interview and answered Elizabeth's phone call as scheduled. She started off the call by feeding me the same propaganda that was in the starter kit and kept repeating that she "needs serious people to help her with her 'exlopding' business. I then find out that this was a 3-way call and that the third person on the line (can't remember her name) was Elizabeth's mentor. This woman repeats the same nonsensical propoganda and then plays a pre-recorded message from Vemma's president, BK Boreyko, which basically just repeated all the same garbage provided in the starter kit..........the caveat being, that if I wanted to join Vemma as a brand partner I would have to purchase their beginners kit for only $299 and also commit to a monthly auto shipment of their products (so I can know first hand what the Vemma experience is all about and so that I could competently promote their products and recruit other suckers into joining as my downlines).

Time for the icing on the cake! So, as soon as I heard that I'd have to spend $299 and commit to monthly auto shipments, I immediately hung up my phone. Elizabeth then proceeded to call me half a dozen times over the next few minutes and she also left me several stern voicemails. I immediately shipped Vemma's starter kit back to their Scottsdale address via certified mail and had proof that it was received and signed for by a Vemma staff member well within the 14 day return period. Guess what happened next (I'll bet you already know)?? Vemma charged me $39.95 about a week later. I then filed a dispute with my credit card company and had the $39.95 charged back to Elizabeth / Vemma.

Long story short, Vemma / GPS is a COMPLETE SCAM. I hope that this review will help dissuade others from making the same mistake that I did.
