After signing up for a 14 Day Trial with Vendio Corp. I experienced the following after agreeing to a service that would cost about $25 monthly. My bank was later charged 3X's the amount expected for the 1st month. Later they said it was because they needed to charge for 2 months after my 14 day trial was up and it would be adjusted, and reflect on the next bill with more details and credits. My new bill for the 2nd month never arrived though my account was debited double what my first months bill was. Be careful and do not allow them to have your credit card number. Even after trying to update my information so they can not charge my account they did so and there was no simple solution I could find to have this issue resolved.

Customer service for technical issues would not reply, billing would not reply until mentioning that I would consider filing a dispute unless I get some sort of credit and in turn they closed my account, denying they should be responsible for any issues I have.

I paid for advertising with Shopzilla, didn't get the credit Vendio promised and the pay per clicks started running without my knowledge though I never set it up. Later, Shopzilla told me that Vendio set it to start running automatically so be careful since these 2 businesses are linked once you sign in but appear to be seperate businesses.

BANK RECOMMEND
Bottom line is my experience was by far the worst online experience I have ever had and now I am having to cancel my credit card so they don't continue to charge me for something I have barely used since it is dis-functional.

VIOLATION of PRIVACY STATEMENT
During my only live communication with Vendio, I was told they had my Vendio account information mixed up in their billing system with my old Free Auctiva account. I didn't know they were associated was shocked to find that these two companies are sharing information. Now I'm curious about the privacy policy between Auctiva and Vendio. They rattled off my personal information including my old home address and phone number for the old Auctiva account without confirming anything more than my name while on the phone. Beware! They said they would call back and never did.

NOT GETTING WHAT THEY ADVERTISED
In the beginning just after the 14 day trial had ended I began to implement the tools with my business (much different than using as a trial just to check out the features) The search function in emails did not work, all my customer records from emails were lost since they auto delete after reading them, even if you try to forward them to a folder you created they are gone. Using the search function and selecting all folders and archive it would not even find the word "ebay". After 7-10 days of that and trying to get technical support I was done, I had to change the email address associated with the account and stop using the site for my business. I should mention I have 10 years of online sales, internet and software experience going into this.

TECHNICAL ISSUES & BILLING
Trying to get through to someone for tech issues never worked and I ran into the same problems with billing when they overcharged my credit card. The only number to finally call was the one on my bank statement.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
I learned that you need to pay for customer service with them. They have a seperate package for you if you would like help resolving your issues. For customer service solutions that will be free with most companies you can get here for a price. Check out the fees: 1 Month plan Personal Assistance Plan is $5.95 and you can talk to them 2 times by live chat or possibly phone. The Plus plan is $15.95 for 1 month and includes 5 instances by chat or phone. For each of these plans each additional time you chat with them is $5.95

HOURS
If you can find their hours of business then get this. 9:00 to 4:59 PM PST 4:59???

HELP
Please, if anyone else has had similar problems like this with Vendio do not hesitate to let others know. The last thing we all need is another solution provider for small business taking advantage of a growing market and your bank account at all times charging fees for everytime you move your mouse while on their site. Be careful and do not allow them access to your credit card number.

Clearing a few things up

In reply to Dan:

Depending on what time during the month you signed up, your billing cycle used to vary. When you signed up it, you were entered into the billing system before your first cycle technically started, so when it did, you were charged for the upcoming month and a prorated amount for the time of use prior to this first cycle. This resulted in higher than expected first time charges. This is no longer an issue as our billing system was updated to accommodate for the exact situation you described.

Not quite sure what you meant in your reference to Shopzilla because we aren't linked in regards to what you mention.

We have never shared private user data with Auctiva. To reaffirm this, they are actually one of our main competitors in the market so it wouldn't be in our interest to do so. You could have potentially mixed up Auctiva with Andale, which was another competitor that we bought. They offered free products, and your contact information would have been integrated into our system.

In terms of the tools we offer and their functionality, thousands upon thousands of sellers have been using our services successfully for nearly ten years. We are an eBay Certified Provider, have won eBay's Star developer award, and have multiple other certifications/awards that can be seen in the "About Us" section of our website.

There are also exstensive FAQs and help files located within on our application to assist in answering questions you may have. These files cover a very wide range situations that may arise. If these don't happen to cover what you are looking for, we do have paid personal assistance programs, which are not as cut and dry as you make them out to be. A "call" consists of the original call in and all subsequent calls related to that issue. For example, an user could call in and then have 5 subsequent calls regarding that issue. So depending on what an user is potentially looking to accomplish (for example bulk uploading 1000s of items), total phone time can reach multiple hours to help that user. So for just under $6 you can get hours of phone support and help customizing. It also has not been mentioned that all plans come with unlimited email support.

Lastly, cancellation can be done simply by by logging into our application, going to your account page, and then discontinuing whichever product you wish to discontinue.

In reply to Reba_in_cali:

We offer a two week risk free period with all products, as opposed to the free trial you mention. Our website states this for all products. As such, your credit card will be charged when you begin using one of our paid services. After your account becomes active you have a two week period during which you can cancel. If you do so in that time period, you will be refunded. Again, this can be done by logging into our application, going to your account page, and then discontinuing whichever product you wish to discontinue.

Thanks,

Dan

The way Vendio bills their customers is horrible. They tell you about the "free" trials, but they go ahead and charge your credit card the full amount before the trial even begins! And it's up to you to make sure you cancel (if you don't like it) before the trial is up. I have seen companies that ask for a credit card to start a trial, but they don't charge it until the trial is up. Vendio wants their cake and to eat it too.
