Vendstar promised their average income for 30 units was $1200 a month....I have never received more than $400.00 in a month.
Vendstar insisted that I use a placement service APS) other than the one that I had chosen. I picked their choice only to have a number of problems with the company. Their contract was misleading and they did not place the machines in proper locations.
Vendstar, Mark Benowitz, promised to contact the company, APS, and correct the situation and stalled whenever I contacted him.
I had several machines which were taking in $2 per month instead
of the $40 which was promised. I paid 45.00 to place each unit and was promised they would be satisfactory or they would be changed. They changed 5 locations but refused to go any further. Mark Benowitz was supposed to coordinate the change but did very little to help.
After I had purchased the units for approximately $300 each, I was contacted by Vendatar, several times, with an offer to purchase addlitional units for half of what I paid originally.

Research on reports

Greetings. My name is Ned Weaver and I am the President and CEO of Vendstar. I feel the need to clarify and few things regarding this posting trail. As I am anxious to solve any and all outstanding issues with customers when we are at fault, I reviewed our client files and discovered the following:
1 - We have never had a customer named Tim from Driftwood Lake, MI. In fact, according to the United States Postal Service, Driftwood Lake does not exist. Most likely this is a competitor.
2 - We have never had a customer named Paul from Urbandale, OR. In fact, according to the United States Postal Service, Urbandale does not exist. Most likely this is a competitor.
3 - We have never had a customer named Tally from Driftwood, CA. In fact, according to the United States Postal Service, Driftwood does not exist. Most likely this is a competitor (interesting that these competitors chose to use Driftwood in their addresses twice).
The only legitimate complaint on this trail is from Peter who, as you will note, is upset at APS for lack of placement - not us. We have attempted to assist, but short of placing the machines ourselves, all we are able to do is call APS ourselves - which, we have done on numerous occasions.
All I will offer is a warning to anyone who uses this site to be aware that there is a lot of misleading information out there and to do your best to research and make informed decisions.

Sam..AKA Mark...(who do you think you are fooling) who tried playing good cop. Thinking I will say, well gee go ahead and keep my money, it must be my fault that your I can't make anything happen. It couldn't possibly be that I was sold with lies and deception.
I am working at setting up a website dedicated to take this guys down (and all of his SCAMS).
Sleep well while you can Mark, soon you will be sleeping on a hard mattress with bars in the window (not to keep the bad guys out, but to keep them in).

Greatly misled and scammed by Vendstar - and not taking it!

Mark Benowitz, of Venstar is a total scammer. Vendstar is not his first scam, but if I can help it - it will be his last.
Have you seen Vendstar's BBB information:
Total Resolved (Consumer received the requested resolution) 2
The Company has responded to the complaint(s) addressing the disputed issues, however, the consumer remains dissatisfied 14
Yeah - 14 complaints to the BBB where the customer is still not satisfied. (And most were listed under misleading advertising and sales)
Did you also know that Mr. Benowitz also does business under these companies:
Multi Vend Inc.
Sweet Success
I am still checking to see what else he does business under.
I have talked to the NY BBB, AG and FTC. I ask that if you have also been misled by this man, Mark Benowitz that you also contact these agencies. Contact me as well and let's build a class action against these guys - I bet those 14 people who complained to the BBB with no resolution are still looking to reclaim money that Venstar stole from them.

After several months of communication with Mr. Benowitz from Vendstar, I have gotten nowhere. He does nothing but stall.
APS is the company which places these vending machines and the company did not perform as promised.
Since I am near 70 years of age I find it difficult lugging the machines from store to store trying to place them. I have never been a good cold call salesman and thought it would be better to have professionals place them. They charged $75 to place each unit.
The person that did the placing put them anywhere they would be accepted. Some places did as little business as $2 a month, Vendstar promised an average of $40 PER MONTH.
Since my salesperson at vendstar insisted that I use APS I kept after Vendstar to contact APS and to redo the units that did under $10 per month. My salesperson quit the company and Mr. Benowitz introduced himself as a manager.
I feel that Vendstar should make at least contact a company to place these units for me

Vendstar Scammed Me, too!!!

I purchased the 50 machine package with the idea that each machine would bring in on average of $40 a month when placed by the expert locating service that I spent another $2,250 for.
Most of the units only brought me an average of $5-10 a month, which is much less than advertised. I requested to have the machines moved to more lucrative locations and still had the same results on average.
At this rate I will need to be doing this for years to make back the initial investment of $14,995 that I spent. This is a complete rip off because the representative made it sound like you would be double and tripling your initial investment within the first year! Buyer Beware!

I made an error in nameing the person that I stated was at fault in my dealings with Vendstar. My original contact was another person who no longer works for Vendstar. Mark Benowitz took his place in my dealings with APS. Mark and I miscommunicated and he was expecting me to call with my results and I expected Mark to call with his results. It never happened, neither of us contacted the other.
Vendstar and Mark Benowitz have commited to resolve the issues of my complalint and we should have them taken care of very shortly.
