During a stay in Cancun, attended a presentation at the Grand Mayan Riviera Maya under pretext of they would show us how to use our timeshares to better advantage. We were sent by taxi to the resort which soon began to be a timeshare presentation. Only to be one hour it took 4. The first offer was simply outrageous, when we refused the closer was sent over and a smaller offer was made, we refused. Taken to the back room and another offer was made. This was apparently by the company that represented Vacation Privileges, and the first was a sales company that was required to present first at greatly inflated costs.
By that time the price was lower and we were exhausted and signed up. The problem was that we had to trade in our timeshare with Starwood SVO. After I got home I did not want to proceed, most review of the Mexican properties while nice was undesired ad they are not all inclusive and I do not what to give up my Starwood property. I basically do not want the Vacation Privileges package, want my money back and keep Starwood. I do not have any interest in returning to Mexico. There does not appear to be a way of changing your mind and just to think of this a year later makes me very angry.

I tried to sell my timeshare once, when I thought I was in no end with my membership, however this companies only take your money and never hear from them.
here is an article that made me realize that cancellation was a better option for me.
