Contracted with Ventura Web Design for a Yahoo Store. After several employee changes and ongoing demands for money although no proof of work was done.
Instinct told me to walk away but I reluctantly remitted final payment in hopes of obtaining a functional web site. Phone calls were always returned by Kevin Richards, the only employee and owner when we spoke and definitely wanted final payment and I will be "up and running".
Upon final payment I contacted Kevin to go ask questions of why web site wasn't done according to contract and about my one hour of training. At first friendly calls, referring me to Yahoo directly for help. Wait a minute, I paid for a web site, why should I read a book or call yahoo??
Finally when cornered, Kevin said I took to long to pay him and not to contact him again. Needless to say he didn't do anything but fill in a few templates. That's all folks
Shop around for your web site developer and be wary of the slick fast talking designers. Let Kevin tell it, he did everything he was suppose to do-NOT!!!!!

Despite the reports on this website, I was very pleased with Ventura Web Design. They did a great job for me. In fact, they've done a great job for all of the sites in their portfolio, plus many more. It seems to me that the person who filed this report is just trying to harm Ventura's reputation for no good reason. I guess you've not been in business very long if you're not listed on here by some whining, contract violating, loser from Detroit, right?
