I had signed up with Veracity because all the other credit repair companies I used were a rip off, I had asked if they hold the companies accountable who do not reply to their disputes and they said that they do. After collecting my money at $79 on the platinum account for many many months I had noticed that they had said that a lot of companies were not replying with in the time limit legally allocated to reply. I asked again if they had been holding them accountable and this time the rep had said he is not sure. I said what do you mean, the only reason I am with you guys is because you said you do hold them accountable, I had been transfered to his supervisor Mandell. He said he would comp me a month to think about it and if I was still unhappy we would talk about a refund. I called back after the comp and said I want refund, He had became very rude and told me I wasnt gonna get my money back. I let him know I would be doing a consumer affair and rip off report and he had said its not a big deal and he would fight it.

were you refunded? I've never been in a situation like this before. I've done what I can as far as canceling my card so they can't touch anything else. But how likely are you to get a refund? They have the $99 on hold & makes me very angry because of the little pay I get. And desperately need & now I feel like I'm useless I was literally on my last. Hope to hear from you soon. I don't know what else to do.

they did say they hold the companies accountable and then they did say they are not sure many months later and then they did say that they in fact do not hold the companies accountable meaning I was lied to. They offered me a month of free service for this lie which is not nearly close to what I had paid them when I could have paid an attorney to actually hold the companies accountable. In regards to what they have deleted it was only mainly off of one of the 3 bereaus which is still on the other two and not considered deleted in the eyes of anyone looking at the 3 bereaus.

Veracity Credit Consultants has been in business since 2003 and successfully helped nearly 100,000 clients. Given the nature of what we do, we cannot and do not offer guarantees to our clients that a particular score will be achieved or that particular accounts will be corrected.

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, everything on a credit report needs to be accurate, complete, and verifiable, otherwise it must be removed. We send letters directly to the creditors and credit bureaus disputing inaccurate items on a client's credit report. 

This client has not been told that we hold the credit bureaus accountable. We are not a regulatory enforcement agency. We are able to send another letter of dispute to the credit bureau insisting they comply to the FCRA, but we do not have the power to hold them accountable in the manner the client desires. This client wants the credit bureaus to be held accountable legally - we are not and have never been a law firm. Veracity has no authority over the credit bureaus. 

In the month of October, after it was once more explained to this client that we do not have the power to hold the bureaus accountable, we did go ahead and give the client a free month of service as a courtesy. There was no discussion of a refund as we were providing the agreed upon services. 

After the client's account went into suspension for non-payment in November, the client called demanding 6 months of free service or a full refund. We have provided the services this client agreed to and with great success. 

During the time this client was enrolled, we were able to successfully remove over $78,000 in inaccurate information from their credit report with nearly 60 accounts corrected.
