I started playing World Of Midgard (Also known by beta names Midgard Rising and Faction Wars) October 2012. I enjoyed it along with several other players, and stayed until August 2013. However, the publisher of the game Veraxon Entertainment is a fradulent business with bad practices.
They do not care about their customers at all, and have no respect or consideration for them. They only see the players as $$$ signs. Midgard is a MMORPG, a massively multiplayer online role playing game for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. They distribute through .zip packages on the forums for PC and Mac, Android via the Google Play store and Amazon.com, and iOS through the App Store by Apple.
As shown by the screenshots I have posted, Opera recognizes the game forums worldofmidgard.com/womforum/) as fraudulent, and the main website (worldofmidgard.com/) with a malware warning. This is because of several reasons I will list. The game operates as Free-To-Play with microtransactions through an online store with implementations in game with a currency called Mithril.
Mithril can be spent on premium items such as mounts, XP boosters which double the experience gained for a certain amount of XP based on the current level of the player character, Dungeon Resets which allow you to play the dungeons in-game more than once, etc. One problem is that some of these in-game items were never delivered and when contacted, the support team did not supply the purchased items.
This is a clear sign of fraud, and has resulted in a substantial loss of money coming out of players' pockets. Also when Dungeon Resets did not work, the Admin (Andrew Madloch) or support team were unhelpful and refused to give refunds or replacement resets (See worldofmidgard.com/womforum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=9491&p=99580#p99580 for an example).
Perhaps the largest single account of fraud is one that happened in early May 2013, close to the 8th. The level cap had recently been raised from 28 to 60, and so there was a huge experience discrepency. Players had bought thousands of dollars worth of experience boosters, in order to speed up the leveling process.
Veraxon adjusted the XP amounts twice (decreasing the XP needed for leveling): The first time players were compensated by way of an experience adjustment. As in if you were level 30 at the time of the adjustment and had accumalated enough XP to level to 31 by the new leveling XP system, you were boosted to lvl 31 manually.
This was fine; however when they did a second, more drastic experience adjustment they did not compensate players again. This is downright fraud, by the masses - Several thousand $ worth of money, and hundreds of hours were wasted and lost. The Admin Andrew Madloch argued with players when they asked for a experience adjustment.
He failed to provide customer service, Veraxon failed to provide customer service. They failed their duty as a business. In fact, the forum post about the second XP adjustment by Andrew Madloch was deleted to cover up their tracks!
In addition, on Google Play under the alias "Andrew Wars" the admin Andrew Madloch posted a five-star review saying "Great, great, great" on the Midgard Rising 2 game page. I know this because on his google plus page plus.google.com/108663106284846074422/posts) he has links leading to free XP boosters, which only the Admin gave out via the forums.
His review may be found at play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.veraxon.MidgardRising2. This is just bad business practice, and duplicious. In conclusion my time was wasted, along with others' cash and time.

Was banned (from the forums at least) immediately after my rebuttal was posted. Shows the cowardice of this fraud of a company. Know this Veraxon, I am here to stay.

Lies and excuses, till the end.

I was never banned, ever. I am best known as Kingteranas, a former game moderator and guild leader within the Midgard MMO. I speak for my fellow players as well as myself, and have seen the injustice and fraudulent actions that have been imposed upon myself and others by Veraxon. Your example (whichever employee wrote the rebuttal on behalf of Veraxon), is flawed and inconclusive. Any business relies on their consumers, which generate their profit. A movie rental service still is obligated to provide additional service to customers as a result of their failure to do so initially. An example, after renting a movie through Amazon via streaming, I did not receive the movie rental within a reasonable amount of time (over 24 hours). A representative quickly remedied this issue, and I was able to enjoy my movie. However, Veraxon failed to correct their mistake when a dungeon reset item did not work as intended. They are abysmal when it comes to providing customer service, this being one of many examples. Whoever wrote the rebuttal either did not give a d**n as to the fact that their employer is being accused of fraud (Many spelling errors, a sad attempt) or does not speak English fluently. You would expect that a company based out of New Jersey would have some English-speaking employees. There is a difference between customer complaint and downright fraud: Veraxon executed the latter by refusing to reason with customers when their hard-earned money was lost. And if the developers "can't feed their families" like the forum administrator stated some time ago, they really should rethink their business practices. I am protected by my Freedom of Speech under the US Constitution, any banning or other action taken unto me by Veraxon Entertainment as a result of this rebuttal and/or complaint will be considered unjust and will further jeopardize their reputation. Any action will also be considered as an admission of guilt by myself, and may be countered civilly or in a court of law.

Report by banned player without a merit

Assusation is completely frivolous.
This report was clearly posted by banned player.
While we do not know exact reason why complainer was banned, in most cases it is either promoting other games on in-game chat or inproper language or behaviour in the game.
The poster writes in plural "players" or "along with others' time." trying to pretent to be group rater than presenting facts related to the title of the complain.
Post is a essentially long rant what player did not like while game released new content, increased level cap or changed XP curve. Complaier has right to own opinion but it has nothing do with the accusation made in the complain.
Complainer did state that played the game for many hours which means that Veraxon did deliver all those hours of entertainment for that Complainer, and that the complain was filled only becase player was banned so no longer can entertain himself/herself with the game. In short we delivered fun which is what games are made for.
The game like tens of thousans other games is using a freemium model where player has and option to buy virtual currency (but don't have to) to receive better entertaiment experience from the game. It is equivalent of movie rental. If somebody does not like the rented movie can rate it and post comment but don't accuse movie producer of fraud because of that.
Complainer posted some out of the blue numbers realated to some unidentified hypothetical "other people" but there is no any actualy information how much complainer actually spent. Maybe spent nothing or maybe spend just a few $ comparable to movie rental. Accusation about thousands would look very bleak if complainer would post real amount (if any) so he/she decided to not post it.
All bans are done properly according to terms of use of the game.
The summary: Assusation is completely frivolous.
Note 1: Company employee mentioned in title is not involved in day to day administration of game or forum. He is the company lead technologist and main sofware architect.
We are very small indie developer so every penny matter, therefore day to day game and forum administration is outsourced to independed contractor.
The person administrating the game and forum does very good job of keeping players, whos language or behaviour is inappropriate our of playing the game and/or using the forum. Also all spammers trying to promote other games on our in-game chat are banned frequently.
Note 2: Opera browser no longer post false posive posted by the complainer on screenshot. All main internet browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Internet Exploer have never reported the false positive like Opera did for a day or two.
