I had to go out of business due to a lack of customers. I contacted the company, super pages/idearc at the time, and they said I can close my account. I did what was asked, which was a lot. I had to obtain affidavits, send copy of my phone bill that the phone line is disconnected, etc.
This was all in July/August of 2009.
Now I receive a bill from them, this time with the new name, Super media, claiming I owe them over $700!
I called and said, number 1, I sent all the documents you wanted, and did not hear from you, so I assumed everything was good. By the way, there is no direct line to the closed business department. So I was not able to confirm anything. As an aside, if this company delivered what they claimed to, I would not have had to close my office. Not only did I fail to receive any customers, I rarely, if ever, got phone calls stemming from their services! Basically, I have to pay over $700 for services that was incompetently done!?
I might have to pay this off, so as to save my credit rating, which is all I have at this point, and need if I ever want to open up shop again in the future.
My strong suggestion is to keep away from Super pages, super media, idearc media, and anything and everything that has to do with Verizon. They are relentless and are a big bureaucratic night mare to deal with. As bad to deal with as the government.
Save yourself headaches, and do not use any of their services. I suggest any and everyone who has questions regarding Super Media, look up Super pages, idearc, etc on this website, and you see complaint, after complaint, after complaint, and Idearc Super pages already declared bankrutpcy once before, due to their incompetence! And now they wish to do the exact same things again which has already been proven a failure. Only reason I can think of is to leech more money from unsuspecting individuals and businesses. Again, save yourself the heartache, and keep away from them. I wish I had this warning 2 years ago.
