The Veterinary Abuse Network claims to be an advocate of animal rights and to speak on behalf of pet owners who are being victimized by bad vets. Instead, it is an organization in the business that deliberately targets innocent veterinarians and launches cyber lynching campaigns to destroy them. This past February, this organization, run by Julie Catalano, finally succeeded in driving a NYC vet to suicide.

To explain how this came about, we have to go back to last year. In August 2013, a stray cat named Karl was brought into Gentle Hands, the clinic owned by a Dr. Koshi. This cat did not belong to anyone. It was part of 6-7 cats that lived at a local Bronx park, supposedly taken care of by "rescuers", one of them ny the name of Gwen Jumark.

Weeks later, Jumark approached Koshi, claiming to be the proper "owner" of the cat because she looked after it at the local park. Dr. Koshi refused to give over Karl, which prompted Jumark to hold protests against Gentle Hands and file a lawsuit.

At some point, she recruited the "help" of Julie Catalano, who runs the "Veterinary Abuse Network." Ms. Catalano elicited her services by launching a cyber bullying campaign against Dr. Koshi, both on her blog, Suki's Safe Haven", at various news outlets that reported the lawsuit, and the Facebook page of her so-called "Veterinary Abuse Network."

After months of sustained abuse, Dr. Koshi committed suicide on February 16th. Catalano responded to the death with much glee, posting on her Facebook page "safe at last" under a picture of Karl the cat. She and her followers then proceeded to post even more defamatory, almost celebratory comments about Koshi's suicide, which have since been deleted.

This is the truth of what the Veterinary Abuse Network does. It is an organization run by a sociopath, who uses it as a platform to cyber bully innocent people. It does not care about consumer or animal advocacy. It's an organization run by someone h*** bent on revenge, because of an incident she had with her own cat years ago.

AUTHOR: Regret A Vet - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 30, 2014

THIS STORY IS TWISTED I'LL SAY THAT. But instead of picking it apart I'll just say: WHO CARES! If this were a plumber or electrician or a hair stylist, mechanic etc. no one would care. So move it on! There are more BAD VETS to be exposed. It's sad she was one of them and committed suicide but this woman had MANY more problems and the general public knows you can't MAKE someone commit suicide. Even her family hinting she needed help long before this.
