Veterinary Associates Galena Dr. Christy Moris, Dr.Blaine Nicks and Dr. Catherine Smith Veterinary Associates attempted to kill my dog Galena Illinois

On August 1st 2013 my 5 year old Airedale Terrier was shot in her front right leg aand I took her to Veterinary Associates of Galena for veterinary care. They quoted me $1,500.00 for the amputation and when I told them I wanted to take my dog to another veterinarian for a second opinion, they refused to give me my dog back and said that I had to eutanize her right then and there. For one and a half hours they kept saying that my dog was dying and I needed to let them eutanize her, I refused. The Police was called and finally they gave me back my dog, with the broken leg totally wrapped, first with seram wrap over the uncleaned wound, then three or four rolls of gauze and finally a rubber seal. This wrapping was purposelly don so her leg will rot, and it did. Fortunatelly Dr. Teasdale from East Dubuque was able to save her life, but he noted that the leg had a fettid smell due to the devious wrapping. These people are totally unethical and should not be practicing Veterinary medicine. Do not take your loved pet to them, if you do not use them, they will try to kill your pet!
