Went to Puerto Vallarta for a wedding.  Leaving the airport were offered help getting to our hotel.  Short story, timeshare presentation the next day.  No problem, I can do 90 minutes of almost anything.  I've been to several presentations in the states but none like this.

Tried to leave a couple times but the DEAL gets better and better and after 4 plus hours anything would have sounded great.  Especially, the near guaranteed rent our weeks would bring in to pay for air travel etc.  They are very good at showing you a rental marketing plan but not accurate in any way.

Be wary of timeshare companies grabbing you up at the airport, keeping you in a sales presentation for half a day, not making you aware of cancellation protections or returning your calls.

I'm going to spend a couple grand with an attorney to try to escape this trip to Mexico, I will let you know how it goes.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: Becker79 - ()

POSTED: Thursday, June 20, 2013

Unfortunately you got hooked into a timeshare presentation; Mayan Palace is known for particularly hard sell tactics. Mayan Palace sales tactics are hardcore and they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you into the contract and keep you in contract with them. Mayan Palace’ Sales Pitch will explain you all the places you can go with your timeshare and how much you are going to love your vacations with them and how exclusive and prestigious its to own a Mayan Palace’ timeshare. What they fail to explain you is how the timeshare works and what are the real possibilities of traveling to those places. Mayan Palace’ sales representatives also fail to explain what kind of unit you are in fact purchasing and more often than ever it is now the unit the sales representative shows you in the tour, They also promise to get you discounts in airfares and certificates for cruises which both of them are false. Fortunately, there's a way out, you should read this article about Mayan Palace: Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam
