VideoStripe.com advertises a free 7-day trial for its film streaming service. The service works as advertised, but before signing up for the trial you are informed that you need to supply a credit card for authorization purposes. One or more fees totalling "up to $2.00" will be withdrawn and re-deposited immediately.
Upon signing up, you are informed that the fee will not be refunded until the conclusion of your trial, but will be refunded instantly in the event of account cancelation. Upon canceling your account, you are told that the fee will be refunded "in a few days."
Their customer service consists entirely of non-native English speakers who simply reiterate the information you are provided with *after* you sign up.
