I am an Avon Representative and received an email from a woman who called herself,
Nikki Tyson. She ordered Avon from me. She told me that the company that she worked
for would send me a check for payment. Today , I received a check through UPS for $2600.00
Her order was for under $500.00. In the email that she sent me today, she said that her company
accidentally sent her travelling expenses in with my payment. She wanted me to cash the check
and mail her the remainder. The company that the check had on it was ViewSonic Corporation
White Bear Lake, MN 55110 and was signed be Ted Sanderson, The return address is Benchmark
Properties in Tallahassee, FL 32301. I emailed her back and told her that to send me her
address and I would send her the check back uncashed and in turn she should send the correct
amount of what she ordered in a cashiers check or money order. This sounds too fishy.

and the check is no good.
Also it's NOT from Viewasonic or Viewsonic, whichever.
You were likely asked to send the difference to the scammer by Green Dot or Western Union to make it untraceable.
You did the right thing and also it's good of you to post on ROR to warn others.
