The political wheels in Tupper Lake are at it again. Promises of street repair upgraded water and sewers and more.
Last year $76,000 was earmarked for the repair of Water Street due to Villages heavy trucks and years of neglect but yet there has been nothing done.
How many times will the taxpayers pay for this street before it gets done.
1992 a grant was received by the Village and $550,000 was tagged for the repair of the same street which, you guessed it, nope, it hasn't been done.
Maybe someone should be asking the Inspector Generals office about some of the other HUD grants and how they have been delt with here in town.

this so called country club is operated by a small group of buisness men from tupper lake and from what is said they got one hell of a deal seem's they lease it from the town for a fraction of what it would cost to rent an apartment for a month town covers the insurance town employees were up there all last summer of course they are able to get a little help from the members but why not it's theres for practically nothing what do they have to loose!! now i believe this should be sold and put on the tax roll so it could help out with the never ending tax increases so what does this place do for tupper lake that it wouldn't do if it was privatley operated i believe the town would be better off with out it!!!!!!!!
