This company continues to scam people into attending timeshare-type presentations with a promise of free air tickets and rental car. We attended in November; did not even meet their requirements: under 70. The location was in Napa, in a large storehouse-type building, apparently quickly put together.
We listened to the presentation, asked questions and decided we would not buy now. We collected our forms for free travel and left. Subsequently, we had major illness and missed the deadline. Our call to GEVC was taken and an extension given, which seems fair, until you realize they are all in cohoots.
We sent our money orders and forms to VIP Travel Reservations immediately. Today we received a letter from them voiding our Activation Forms because we did not send it by certified mail. I don't know where that instruction was on the initial forms, but I suspect they were not there. 2 hours of time (theirs and ours) and disappointment reinforce suspicion of any of these companies.

Mam as you clearly state you received your cetificates in November, they MUST be sent in by certified mail (first sentence on both forms) with in 21 days also in #1 of the terms and conditions. We did not receive your certificate until 1/8/09 and it was returned to you because it was expired and uncertified. You then sent again 2/9/09 and again sent in uncertified.
So not only was it again #1 and the first sentence of #1 of the terms and conditions, you were also notified of this when it was returned to you the first time. I appologize if you feel you wasted your time, but YES the rules MUST be followed!
As for being in "cahoots" with any other company, we are not! We are not affiliated with any other companies, they purchased our certificate from an outside vendor to offer you for whatever it was they were trying to sell you.
Thank you,
Kim at VIP Travel
