Virginia College Virginia College Online, Virginia College at Birmingham Charged for e term that I atended for 13 days birmingham, Internet

I withdrew from Virginia college 14 days into the term due to medical reasons. My loans and Pell grant were refunded to the Department of Education and the college charged me the cost of tuition for the entire term. My Transcripts are being withheld, and the tuition (for the term I barely attended) Has been sent to a collection agency that charges 33% interest. In addition, I recently discovered that my 3+ years of course work will transfer no where. This would have been a good thing for the administration to be upfront about in lieu of misrepresenting the truth.  The actions from this school are reprehensible and they practice loan sharking tactics. I wish There were an investigative team that could probe deeper into these schools. So I am almost $50,000 in debt, have not completed my degree and owe over $4000 in additional tuition for a term that I never attended. 10 Classes remaining until I would have received my bachelors degree. Who are these schools mandated to answer to and why are these practices allowed to continue? I sincerely hope that there is a legal firm that would represent all of us who have been screwed over by Virginia College. To any potential students, Please, please reconsider before committing yourself to this. It is a rip off.
