finally got a call today that circuitcity is going to replace my tv which is great. i asked them about a refund for my 2199.00 plus 379.00 extended warranty. they said they couldnot do that. read the extended warranty and no where is it mentioned they cant refund my money. i really never want to buy any thing else from them. they really act like they have done nothing wrong. the person to contact is jeff at 1-888-615-8156. the tv like mine is now 500.00 cheaper than when i bought it. sony 51 inch what will they do with the other 500.00 that is left. plus on the new tv a lady said my extended warranty would be prorated. i would perfer my money and they can go out of business for all i care but of ripoff artist

The purpose of the Extended Warranty is to guarantee that you have a working TV for the periods covered by the warranty. If I understand your post you want the TV, your money back, and the cost of the warranty. I think you are trying to rip them off.
If everyone got a refund everytime technology advances and prices drop these companies would go out of business.
Next time take a chance and wait and maybe the price will drop. The price you paid was the price at the time that you purchased it and they made good by giving you another tv.
