I bought a V2 Premiere computer from Shop NBC and the customer service was advertised as being the best in the business. They are liars. I have been waiting to get my computer fixed since may of 2006 and it still isn't fixed. The hard drive has been replaced with an older model from 2004 and i knew that because it had Tax act 2004 on it. I then have problems with it shutting off on me in the middle of working. The free camera that came with it is junk as well. It quit working. Basically Viscom told me too bad about my luck that it was my responsibility to find a computer shop and get it fixed since it has been since May. Well what they fail to remember is that I have been waiting on shipping labels since May that no one seems to be able to get to me. This company sucks.

Shocking...

1) Viscom laid off 50% of thier call center staff in Jan. 2004

2) Viscom Technologies does not manufacture "V2 Premier" comptuers, actually they are put together by a company called ECS

3) Shipping and handling is free when the product comes to the receiver, but not back to the shipper

Answering:

1) Hard to claim good customer support, if 50% of your support line is sitting at home

2) This means Jim Peterson is NOT a "OEM". Lies I tell you.

3) Sure they'll pay for shipping to your house, but you gotta pay for shipping it back. Oh yeah, and insuarance on that will cost $50 extra to make sure your not realiable if anything happens...

You buy a SHOP NBC computer, your automatically losing out on $100+.

A majority of SHOP NBC computers have integrated graphics. If the graphics go bad, you gotta replace the whole motherboard ($500 and up). It's "built into" the motherboard.

Your video card is shared memory architecture meaning its taking speed away from your RAM. With a 3.4 GHZ processor (HT) you should have atleast 1 GB of ram, and the video card should be seperate (PCI-E) with devoted memory all to itself...with this, your computer will hardly ever appear fast and will it never.

I feel your pain sister.
