I purchased a V2Premier system from Visom Technologies, through ShopNBC and received the 'freebies' that enticed me to make the purchase. The free digital camera I received is garbage and I have had 2 replacements already.

When I purchased the product, I was suckered by shady sales pitch that this package will NOT BE OFFERED ever again. After doing some intensive research, I figured it was a good deal, so i bought it. 2 weeks after I made my purchase, they offered the exact same product for the EXACT same price but with an upgrade from a DVD-ROM to a DVD-RW.

When I tried to make my case that I got ripped off and wanted to swap out my DVD-ROM with the DVD-RW, they pretty much told me that I had no case and stopped repsonding to my email and tech support was useless as I expected.

I am on board with signing any petition to sue them just let me know what I need to do.

What's Your Real Complaint?

AUTHOR: KAREN - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 09, 2003

Do you have a negative comment about the computer system itself or are you just upset because a better deal came along after you made your purchase?

They were under no obligation to give you the same deal as the people who waited a little longer to make their purchase. If I buy a new car today and next week they offer a rebate am I entitled to it?

Get over it...that's the way the system works.

I went shopping on TV watching these circus clowns

AUTHOR: Boz - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, September 28, 2003

Hi it is Texino your professional re-butler.

I went to this NBC store on the TV and saw two men having a lying contest with this big black computer for a back drop.

Those men had nothing in-common with a real computer builder or re-seller. Both are Malaperts to the 12th degree of obnoxious. Computers are not used cars. Even a stupid person knows that. [I know it] Why then do this outfit employ the big hard sell unless they are trying to keep you from seeing some obvious flaw?

Just by watching these circus clowns for
One man is tired of lying, other takes his place and so one.

As a Professional, I will ask you to please buy your machines someplace else and do not become enchanted by the too good to be true hypnotic droning of those NBC guys.

Otherwise, I wish you all the best and if you want Texino me to do so, I will think up the vilest Voo Doo magic on this whole Island and send it straight at these crooks.

Thank You very much,
Professional Re-Butler and Metaphysician

Problematic PCs

AUTHOR: Boz - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 27, 2003

Hi, it is Texino. Remember please: I am a foreigner, but I am also a professional!

I am feeling very badly for these people who would buy a computer from a Television. I do not know this Shop/NBC but I google them and find that yes they have some computers to sell and they seem very proud of them indeed.

A recognized problem in the PC business is the fact that almost all of them are made up of parts from different vendors with very little thought to QC issues. Given this, I think it is wise to go to a local builder; most every town has one or two. You may be surprised how inexpensive this can be. The only trouble may come from not getting a software bundle, however; I think the persons on this site will tell you that most of the bundle is made up of demo or out dated applications.

Another decent place is Tiger Direct. They deal in discontinued and refurbished systems at deep discount.

There is much more to say and to learn. One thing I suggest is you look up the word "Malapert" if you don't know it. When you do know it, apply it against any person who is selling you a computer. If the word fits then just go somewhere else. The computer world is full of these condescending know it all jerks. Better you find some quiet person who can explain things without having to put you beneath the topic.

Once again. I am very sorry for the people who, IMO, paid way too much, and I hope you are rewarded in the end.

Also, if you hate Texino (that's me) for being a foreign wise guy who is mostly right, that is OK. Lots of people do because I sometimes tell them some truth they are not ready for. I can do it though because I am a Professional (I have Licenses for these things)

Thank you, Texino

A class action suit is the only way to stop these crooks

AUTHOR: Edward - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 27, 2003

I am willing to join a class action suit against
ShopNBC and Viscom Industries and Jim Peterson and his cohorts personally. These people need to be stopped. They are literly stealing hard earned cash from the public and getting away with it. The fraud they commit on tv is criminal, but no one but the victims care. I am willing, are you????

Response to poster

AUTHOR: Andrew - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, July 10, 2003

Hi,

I agree with you... On the ShopNBC, "THe Computer Store," they keep saying, "you'll never see this computer system next week."

And lo and behold, next week comes and they still have it and they explain it as, "due to popular demand, we brought the system from last week back."

What a load of garbage... Their sales pitch, is, "buy this computer now, before you miss out."

Yeah.. BS... Those two jokers on TV (Jim and Big Mike) are so funny to watch.. They "talk down" to the viewer so much... like, "you dont know what to buy when you go to the store, so let me be your guide," or "you'll never notice the difference between a 2.4GHz and 2.8GHz." Again baloney.. Try doing graphics rendering and see if you cannot tell the difference...

These guys think they are talking to dumb 7-year olds watching TV....

Sheez...

As for getting back at them, email "Big Mike" directly and "bigmike@shopnbc" and flood his email with your complaints!

Jim Peterson should be put out of business.... He is such a liar on TV...
