Our problem is with Volvo North America. We purchased a Volvo V8xc90 for 50,000.00 new ordered out of dealer in Rutland Vermont. The dealer was awesome and stood behind any issues we had which we should not have with the price of the car. Any way we had problems after 30.000 miles with rotors, lumbar seat twice, steering rack twice, outside emblem, then after 50,000.00 which is after warranty paint problems on molding and to top it of the tranny started slipping or shuddering is  what they call it in Tennessee. So we took it to Clayton motors in Knoxville Tn. By the way we moved from Vermont to Tennessee in 2013. Clayton did a scan and informed us the tranny needed replacing and they did not have a loner car really?  So they did not give us a quote because we were sickened and sad that it was a major job so we tried to ignore the problem because we did not have extra money to pay for this problem. Then it got worse so we took it to Nashville Volvo with a noise in front of car they diagnosed the front brakes after we had rear brakes replaced 2 weeks before by an awesome small dealer in Crossville Tn, Select auto,Select said front brakes were fine but we trusted the Volvo dealer and they charged us 400.00. the dealer said it was more because they use only Volvo parts really! I drive a tractor trailer and deliver the same parts made by the same manufactures. So back to tranny Nashville Volvo could not diagnose tranny problem so we left it with them because they had a loner car so we were thinking things will get better not! We went back to Nashville Volvo the service manager told us the tranny needed replacing for about 8500.00 and we would be better of trading it in because it was worth about 7,000.00 That was an insult seeing we paid 50,000.00 for the car and we bought it thinking it would last at least 200,000 miles like my 1997 Chevy truck That I paid less than half of that it lasted 235,000.00 the only reason I sold that is we moved to Tn and did not need two vehicles. So then I emailed Volvo North America and they have been giving me the run around they said if I have the tranny diagnosed within 30 days they will consider helping us,we have had it diagnosed three times in 1 year and had replaced the torque converter worth 5,000.00 because of labor. I can understand the labor part because I am a car guy and have worked on my own vehicle all my life which is 52 years. But for Volvo not to stand behind there product and there reputation really sickens me it's sad that we are coming to no one being responsible for what they sell to consumers. So is there any one out there with this problem I know this is a silly question but I would like to think Iam wrong.
